Best Environmental Technologies is the manufacturer of TM Agricultural which was developed in Canada. It is used extensively in many countries and throughout Australia and New Zealand. TM Agricultural is an activator that triggers native beneficial micro-organisms in the soil. These micro-organisms tie up water soluble nutrients reducing leaching, promoting better soil aeration, improved nutrient efficiency and increasing organic soil carbon. Farmers are able to reduce their fertilizer rates, depending on the amount they use and what soil tests are indicating. This lowers their inputs and makes farming more profitable.
TM Agricultural works similarly in water, activating beneficial micro-organisms which tie up excess nutrients in the water. This limits the nutrients available for algae growth. TM Agricultural has been used successfully in many different water applications to remove algae. Results usually can be seen in 14 – 21 days and TM Agricultural is made from all natural sources and remains in a natural state. There are no chemicals used in the manufacturing of TM Agricultural. TM Agricultural can be applied to all vegetation, soil types and water. TM Agriculture is safe for all aquatic life and all animals including marine life. There is no withholding period which allows stock to continue to drink from dams.
TM Agricultural is an organic product and is registered with the Biological Farmers of Australia.
The rate of application in water is 500ml of TM Agricultural per megalitre of water depending on conditions. Best results are obtained by premixing TM Agriculture with water in a firefighter and spraying across the surface of the water. TM Agriculture works to control all forms of algae.
TM Agricultural is being used successfully by Water Corporation WA to treat effluent storage dam at Walpole WA.

Of the dams that have been treated, the most spectacular was a large 90 megalitre irrigation dam in Pemberton that was severely affected by algae. Seven days after adding TM Agricultural the dam started to change from a bright green colour to brown. After 2 weeks the algae was totally dead, this dam has stayed algae free for 12 months. Below are before and after photos of this dam.
